Lifeguard Certification Classes

Groom ISD will be hosting lifeguard classes June 5th–6th at the Groom ISD Pool.

Students must be at least 15 years old to participate. This is a blended online/in-person course, and the online portion must be completed before attending the in-person portion.

Certification is valid for two years.

We must have at least 5 participants for the instructor to travel to Groom.

The Elementary Music Program has been rescheduled to Tuesday, May 12th at 6:30 PM.

We will also have an EARLY RELEASE on Thursday, May 14th at 11:30 AM to allow time for travel to the State Track Meet.

Congrats to our FFA Speaking Contestants—great job yesterday! We want to wish the best of luck to our FFA CDE teams as they compete at the State Contest this weekend at Texas Tech University, as well as our Regional Track competitors in Levelland! We are heading into testing time at GISD, and our students are ready to shine! ⭐ We ask for your help in making sure they are set up for success each day.

✅ Please make sure your child:
• Gets a good night’s rest before testing
• Arrives to school on time
• Eats a healthy breakfast (at home or at school)
• Brings their fully charged device and charger (6th–11th grade)
• Uses wired headphones only (no Bluetooth), if they choose to bring their own
