✏️ STAAR Testing Season at Groom ISD ✏️

We are heading into testing time at GISD, and our students are ready to shine! ⭐ We ask for your help in making sure they are set up for success each day.

✅ Please make sure your child:
• Gets a good night’s rest before testing
• Arrives to school on time
• Eats a healthy breakfast (at home or at school)
• Brings their fully charged device and charger (6th–11th grade)
• Uses wired headphones only (no Bluetooth), if they choose to bring their own

Our students have worked hard all year, and we know they are ready to show what they know!

Mark your calendars--- Groom ISD STAAR Testing Dates Please help your student be prepared by getting a good night’s sleep and eating a healthy breakfast each morning. They’ve put in the work—now it’s time to show what they know!

Pool Closure Notice The Groom ISD pool is closed until further notice. We currently have two individuals enrolled in the Certified Pool Operator (CPO) course. They are scheduled to test on April 23, 2026. Once certification is complete, we will be able to reopen the pool. Our anticipated reopening date is May 1, 2026. Notices will be posted on all pool doors, and the outside door will be unpinned so fobs will no longer allow access until the pool reopens. Anyone with a key could still access the area; however, no one should be using the pool until certification is completed and the pool is officially reopened. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
