Update on Today's Lock-In Event. Carson County Officials alerted us that a subject had crashed and was on foot in Groom evading police. We immediately initiated a Lock-In Event where all individuals remain in the building with outside doors locked. When we were notified of his capture, the Lock-In was lifted. No Intruders were on school grounds.
Due to the likelihood of rain tomorrow afternoon, the pep rally will be moved to the gym. Start time is still at 2:15. Students will be dismissed at the end of the pep rally, which is scheduled to end 3:00.

Local law enforcement has alerted Groom ISD that the situation has been resolved. Students will now be released.
Parents: there is currently a law enforcement situation in the community and we are on a secure lock-in until we get an all clear from law enforcement.
