Great things are happening at Groom School! These students meet after school on Mondays to learn about Robotics. Go Tigers!
The Environmental Science class recently received a $500 grant from Texas Farm Bureau to build two large planters and purchase plants to fill them. Students went on a field trip in the rain this week to select flowers for the planters, which will be placed in front of the school. Good job!
Important Calendar Reminder--The original yearly calendar had May 19 as a school holiday, but that day off was moved to March 19 when we hosted the district One Act Play competition. We do have school on May 19.
All Junior High parents (grades 6-8) are invited to a meeting in the school library on Tuesday, April 29 at 6:00 pm to discuss the end of year activities for Junior High students.

Mrs. Shuck will be hosting the 8th Grade transition meeting at 6:00 pm in the school library on Thursday, April 24th. This meeting is important for all 8th grade parents and students to attend as we plan their move from Junior High to High School!

At 10:00 am today Groom ISD will be having our annual 911 Program for grades PreK-5. There will be fire trucks, ambulances, law enforcement and possibly even a LifeStar Helicopter. This is for the presentation only. There is not an emergency at the school.

Spring Photos will be taken on Thursday, April 10. Order forms for class groups and individuals were delivered to elementary students last week. JH and HS students may pick up an order form in the office. We will also take photos for organizations and track, tennis, and golf, and those order forms are in the office as well.
